Okay, I do kinda agree with you there. She looks like a good Cosette though!

At least she'll be far better than Taylor We know she'll be able to do it after the 25th anniversary concert.

Yes! Thank goodness! If anyone is interested I've been doing some conjecturing on my LiveJournal. This whole story is weird. See link: digne.livejournal.com/230596.html

And you probably also heard of a new song for the movie? It's called Suddenly and seems to be a duet between Cossette and Valjean.

Yes chocobasse, isn't it fascinating! I've been collecting everything interview and major news article on my LiveJournal. Digne's Les Mis tagged postsCheck it out. There was a recent interview with Sam. And Eddie and Hugh have been interviewed several times. I usually post something about the movie twice a day. There's been a lot of news lately.

Thanks! I cross post all the Rebecca stuff I find both here and on my LJ but the Les Mis movie news is a little bit of a pain because there's so much of it. So I mostly just post the big stuff here. Although that's not entirely true, there are a couple things I don't post. I generally avoid gossipy personal-lives-of-actors etc ... stories. And I did skip posting that Hugh and Russell appeared together at the BAFTAs. I've made the Broadway Rebecca and the Les Mis movie "my stories." I put an emphasis on finding stuff related to them, but even with all that I don't find everything. Some of you have probably seen this, but I don't think I saw it posted here. In the last 2 months I'd say other than the Taylor Swift stuff the most interesting story was this one: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b018xwt7It's an audio interview with Tom Hooper and it's wonderful. If you haven't listened to it you really should (Hooper's part starts 7 minutes in and ends around 13:30). Here are some highlights a friend transcribed: - “I’m not doing the conventional movie musical thing where you have a chunk of dialogue and then a musical number. But what I’m going to do within that is that, we’ll drop into spoken dialogue for two or three lines here or there… it has a real flexibility. And we’re going to shoot the film live, which is unusual for a musical. So to take, I can be saying, ‘Let’s try it again, but speak that line.’ ‘Let’s try it again but halfway through go back to the melody.’”
- “I can’t tell you what a difference the live singing makes to the emotion.”
- “The problem with [pre-recorded music] is that an actor is having to spend a lot of their brain power in syncing up with what they did… generally for an actor, if you’ve been working hard on a part, you’ll get to this place and singing along with something you did two months ago and you’ll hate it. You’ll kinda think, ‘That’s what I did two months ago. Now my understanding of the part has grown.’”

Reading the above again, I think I worded it funny. - I post almost everything new and interesting about the movie on my Live Journal
- I only post the big new here
Anyway, LJ is acting funny today so I thought I'd share this link here as well as on LJ: Video: Amanda Seyfried interviewed about playing Cosette. This is a good interview, even though she gets one of the song title wrong ("One More Day"). Amanda Seyfried: 'It's half my life that I dreamed about this'
