Has anyone heard any song from the hungarian version? I have heard a bit with Szilveszter P. Szabo as Maxim, and it's quite good, I think.

Haven't heard anything form the Hungarian version. However, according to the Sound of Music shop our favorite Mercutio is on the cast recording! Wonder who he plays?

Ooh, fantastic! I wouldn't have thought him old enough to play Maxim. Interesting bit of casting there.

Yeah, I also thought he was too young to play Maxim. He's only 34, and Maxim is in his 40's. Szilveszter P. Szabo is 37, so he's a bit more suitable for the part in that way.

I've naturally heard some of this (Szilveszter P Szabo XD ) and do like it.
With the casting of 'Mercutio' as Maxim it's not so much the age that's interesting (for me) but the fact that the Operettszínház usually casts a person for a particular type of role ie Szabo gets cast as dark characters - Halal, Tybalt, Oberon and Maxim to name just a few whereas Bereczki tends to play more happy-go-lucky characters like Mercutio, Zuboly (one of the fae in Midsummer night's dream and Pucks companion). It seems odd that they've cast him as something more serious.

Well, in that case, it wouldn't be a first time they went against type-casting. Bereczki Zoltán has also played Franz Joseph, which wouldn't be his kind of character either.

Yeah, I just think this one's even more interesting as Maxim, I find, is a really dark character because he's so haunted by the past (and what he himself has done).
I'm sure Zoltan can carry it off though!

I've booked to see this on June the 26th. I'm so excited! The exact cast hasn't been announced yet so I don't know if I'll be seeing my dear Szabo or not (fingers crossed for me guys!) Oh, did I mention that I haven't booked the flights yet

You're going to see it? Ohh, lucky you! ;D I'm sure you'll have a great time. And I'll cross my fingers for you getting to see Szabo.

Awesome! I have heard amazing things about this production. I'm so jealous!
(and I don't think Szilveszter is on the album, that's the other Maxim)

Yeah, it's Zoltan on the album but both are credited as playing the role and the final cast for the day I'm going hasn't been decided.

As you probably know I saw this last Sunday. WOW
It was so much better than I expected which, as many of you know, is quite something as my expectations of this group are always high. I'll write more about it at some point although I can't do it justice but I just had to say how fantastic it was before I went to bed - I just got in from the airport!!
