What do you think of the book?

Okay, we have a thread about the movies... what do people think about the book?
Have you read it?

I read it when I was about 11 and would like to read it again now that I'm older and may find it easier to read.
I can remember it being split into sections (I think by character) and finding some sections so difficult and then others really enjoyable.

I've read it once, when I was about 17, and loved it. Could do with rereading it though, as there were several passages (mostly dealing with Marius) that I didn't quite understand.

I've read it twice now, once when I was 14 and then again quite recently. I have to admit that both times I skipped the 100 page retelling of the battle of Waterloo Unfortunately I don't speak French and that became a problem sometimes.

I've read it several times -- love it! love it! But I confess I skip Waterloo and a few of the other tangents.

This is the first fully annotated copy of the book in English. Perfect for people like me that don't know much French. I want it just for the notes!
