I know there has been talk for some years about making Miss Saigon into a movie, but it's great to see it seems it's really going to happen. Of course, it depends on Les Mis, but I'd wager it'll go really well with that movie. Or at least I really hope so.

I can see why they might use the success of Les Mis to make Miss Saigon, it would make a great deal of sense.
However, I do think that Miss Saigon might be a trickier show to translate onto film. Of course, you have great room for special effects and amazing scenery and the like but would the emotional connections transfer well onto film? Boi-Doi, for example, I think would be hard to make as emotional as it is in the theatre (certainly at the OperettszĂnház which is the only place I've seen it).
All the same, I'd be interested to see such a film!
