It's sad how none of those English stories and sites seem to understand how big a star Uwe is in the German-speaking world. And of course none of them get the Rebecca tie-in (I know Wietske and Uwe did Rudolf together but I don't count that since they don't really interact in that show). The Telegraph's story even said: "German-born Uwe Kroeger, 46, who has worked in Austria for 20 years, plays Captain von Trapp ..." -- Well, he's not worked in Austria continuously for 20 years! Another good video (in English): www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQdEG2QOcS4Story (in English): www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-15402618Here's some cuteness from the above story: Even the star of the show, Uwe Kroeger, who plays, Captain von Trapp, had never seen the movie. "It's a strange journey for me because I was never intrigued," he told me. "I always liked the story but I never really liked the music, or I wasn't really into it until we actually now rehearsed it and I watched the movie.
"And when you see the movie for the first time, the first images of the mountains, it is like an homage to Salzburg and this country - it's beautiful. And I actually cried a little bit, because I thought why didn't I watch it before?" Hint: If you try to search for stories etc about this spell Kröger without the umlaut: "Kroeger" Oh! And check out the photos on Uwe's Facebook (see Uwe in metallic lederhosen!): www.facebook.com/Uwe.Kroeger.Absolut.Uwe

I really want to see this now!
It looks fantastic - really pleased that it's getting some international attention even if it's not getting enogh - it deserves a lot more, I think.
Would be nice to see if it gets some reviews too...
