Maybe not news to you, but the show is opening in Stuttgart. Not sure when. Thomas Borchert as Maxim, Lucy Scherer as Ich and Pia Douwes as Mrs. Danvers. This should be interesting. I am not a Pia Douwes fan, but I am sure she'll do a great job. I am not really surprised that Thomas got the part. He may even be more suitable Maxim than Uwe was. And I am sure Lucy will be great as Ich. She certainly was a great Glinda.

Duh, I totally missed this it was right in front of my face. Here's the new version "Heut Nacht verzauber ich die Welt" with Clarice the maid singing counterpart.
And here's the news clips I posted to the other thread but since it's Stuttgart it'd be good to keep it all together here.

I'm following Tam (@tammutu) as well as @rebeccamusical. He seems like a nice guy and has posted several times about Rebecca. Another good search is this. Change the results from "Top" to "All." You can then find all the conversation happening on Twitter and trace the conversation back and read replies etc ...

I've totally ignored this thread for some reason! I'm not all that keen on "Heut Nacht". I think some of the power of it was the way that she was singing alone, as this, and the way she sung, emphasised her childish way and excitement which then made the 'reveal' so much more heartbreaking. It seems as though having Clarice, or indeed anyone, singing with her dilutes this effect. Of course, it's almost impossible to judge from the one recording like that! It looks like a fantastic production even if it takes some getting used to having different actors!! All we need now is a revival of Marie Antoinette
