I actually look forward to it. It will be interesting to see how it turns out, and it will certainly get more attention, as most may not care about none-english musicals.

I'm looking forward to it too. There have been read throughs taking place in England as they're planning on giving it a short run in London before America and there have been some really talented people auditioning.
I figure that it's either going to be great or it's going to be quite horrendous, rather like Tanz. I guess it has an advantage as it was written in English first but yeah, that will be famous last words, I'm sure!

I hope they do a better job with Rebecca than they did with Tanz! I've heard horrible things about the English production of Tanz...
Regardless, I'm really excited about the prospect of an english language version. I love listening to the songs in German, but actually being able to understand more than a handful of words and phrases is so nice every now and then.

cen I was going to email you the demo recording I have. I shall do that. Maybe I could have a go at translating Rebecca next. I can't get a full recording of the performance so it would have to be a song by song thing. I hope that the Broadway version is kept very much like the English demo they made. Although some songs are quite different, I think the English demo catered for a more English speaking audience (for example, the song 'We are British' which is basically about how two faced us Brits are is 'Some are in and Some are Out'. I like both but they're going to ostracize a large proportion of the English speaking community with that)
