Yeah although I really did find it painful. I feel like I'm betraying so many musicals XD

Sorry I momentarily vanished from all of this. School was crazy this week. My Top 10 Favorite Performers: 1. John Barrowman 2. Uwe Kröger 3. Kamarás Máté 4. Niamh Perry 5. Jodie Prenger 6. Daniel Boys 7. Lea Michele 8. Chris Colfer 9. Bereczki Zoltán 10. Danielle Hope Those are the people whom I first thought of- I've since remembered at least half a dozen more. Think it is safe to say that there are as many amazingly talented performers as there are fantastic musicals. Makes it so hard to choose just 10! I'll have to get back to you guys with this one. *dashes off to make more lists*

New list idea!! Your favourite moments from musicals. Not songs or lines but moments. I can only think of two at the moment but I'll modify this post when I think of more. 1) When Elphaba flies for the first time in defying gravity (the music, the lights, the effects... WOW!!) 2) Act 1 finale of Elisabeth when she appears in the white star dress (?). (The first time I saw this scene it was the Hungarian production and it is spectacular. I love the other versions too though, with her in the frame.)

YES, ditto!
Also the final scene of Elisabeth. I'm specifically thinking of the 2005 production- the look on Mate Der Tod's face as he and Elisabeth finally embrace breaks my heart every time.

This is quite similar to the last question but what about your favourite musical moments. For me sometimes theres a key change or a particular melody or bit of a song that just makes me squee, but what about you?

I think the moment that springs to mind is the bit in Jekyll and Hyde just before 'This is the moment'. That (iconic) song comes in after 'Now there is no choice' and there's this bit at the end of 'Now there is no choice' where he sings very slowly 'to make the mark that only I can make' and there's this tiny pause where everyone's holding their breath... or maybe that's just me waiting for him to sing 'this is the moment'. So tingly!

I have loads of these moments but at the moment I forget most of them. First of all, the last verse of One Day More from Les Mis, when everyone is singing their own part and it sounds amazing. Secondly, the bridge in Defying Gravity. It was the first part of the song that I ever heard (from a compilation video on the London website) and well, its my favourite song to this day. And I can play it on piano The Key change in Wenn das Schicksal dich ereilt from Rudolf- its not in the english demo and its really obvious that theres something missing. Wenn ich Tanzen Will... just the whole song in general but I think the key change into the last chorus and the last chord... (I know its D major because I'm trying to learn it on piano), It's really amazing to play.

For me, I don't really have an order but I do have favourite moments: • When the music starts playing again in the Ozdust ballroom. I well up every time when Elphaba and Glinda start dancing again. • The key change in Defying Gravity. It's one of those moments for me that makes me feel all excited and everything. I don't know how to explain it, it almost makes my heart lift, the whole bridge section. Love it. • The drum beat during the line "Take a message back from me!" in Defying Gravity. I love this drum part. • The "High" scene from 9 to 5 after Judy, Violet and Doralee had taken the drugs. Absolutely hilarious. One of my favourite moments from the whole musical. • When Elisabeth appears at the end of Act 1. That music is amazing and I love it. A lot. • The Catfight from Wicked. This was the first scene I really saw of the musical and I still love it to this day. • Gutes Tun from Wicked by Willemijn Verkaik. Does this count? I've watched it so many times that my mum and I have come up with names for the different things she does. The left shoulder of power, the double dip...Also the amazing acting she has in this scene. She looks so insane near the end, that I want to see more of this side of her Elphaba. Most actresses, I'll be impressed (or not, if that's the case) at their losing their mindness (made up word?) but with Willemijn I really want to see more of this insane Elphaba we now have on stage. • Get Out and Stay Out from 9 to 5. I love Stephanie J Block doing this (yes, I now love Stephanie J Block) because of the power she has behind it. Judy has realised that she doesn't need her husband back anymore and that she's better off on her own. It's an amazing piece. • Cell Block Tango from Chicago. I've never seen the rest of the musical (working on it, downloading one with Pia Douwes in it right now!) but I am addicted to this song. • The end of the Wizard and I from Wicked. I love this, all the foreshadowing and all the joy the Elphabas have.
