Ooh, good idea! I'm curious to see who everyone lists or recommends we all check out.
Most of all my favorite entertainers are from musical theatre. The list is scarily long. However, my absolute favorite would have to be John Barrowman. Is anybody else here a Johnette?

I haven't heard much of him singing although what I've heard I adore. Must say, my current favourite singer is Alfie Boe

Johnette? I have never heard him being called that before ;D But of course, it makes sense when you think about it. But he's great, no doubt about that. I have a lists of several great musical peformers, and I cannot chose just one. Especially now I am getting into german and french musicals, the list has become longer.

One of my favorite JB performances:
Lol, 'Johnette' is the name JB has given his fans. Specifically his female fans. Think the nickname for his male fans is something like 'Barrowboys' but I'm not positive. I'll have to google Alfie Boe. Afraid I've not heard of him before.
Have either of you seen any of the BBC casting shows (Any Dream Will Do, I'd Do Anything, etc)? I've seen most of those and really enjoyed them. Discovered a lot of my favorite performers as a result of those shows!

Why, when I read JB, did I think Justin Bieber XD
He's also in this, which I think is magical. It's from Les Mis 25 - I'll have posted it before no doubt... but it's stunning. All four of them are amazing singers and performers.

Wow, those videos were amazing! Such a beautiful voice. I'm going to have to check iTunes US for his CD- hopefully they have it! Lol, logical assumption.

Hmmm... well.... First of all there was Philip Quast... (I am the LAWR and the lawr is not mocked!) Best.Javert.Ever. Then errrm... I quite like Ramin Karimloo. I saw Love Never Dies, and he is a good singer, no matter what your opinion of the show is. (Never seen him do anything else though, so - *shrugs*.) And, most recently, Máté Kamarás. This may have something to do with you, Oiahavanah... Ever since I saw his "Tod"... Well, I'm now in love with both him, and the character... *ugh. SO morbid* I mean, I will admit the looks may have something to do with it, but SERIOUSLY- In that first prelude of "The Shadows Grow Longer", y'know, just after he "steals" (prefers not to use the correct term) Elisabeth's child... ;D Gives me chills every time. "The world is dying with you. Don't hold on to it..." Best line ever, me and my newly-recruited-ElisabethandMáté-fellow-fangirl-friend always squee with delight whenever that part comes up. At least, I do. She manages to just catch herself in the act... See what I mean't about rambling on? My entire post became a Máté fangirl rant. GAAAAAH!

=O Someone who knows who Philip Quast is! The way his demeanor changed between the early songs and Javert's suicide was amazing!
Can we all agree that Mate deserved a rant of his own? I think so ^^
On that note - I also adore Uwe Kroger Has anyone seen his sweet transvestite performance (I think I linked Cen to it ages ago!)

Philip Quast is most definetly my favorite Javert! He's the best! And Maté... Where to start? He's just stunning as Der Tod, and I also saw a clip with him as Herbert from Tanz der Vampire. Cute!!! ;D And I also like Uwe Kröger, though, I have to be honest, he's voice may not be what it once was. Or is that just me? I also have to mention Jesper Tyden, who has played both Der Tod and Rudolph. His presence as Der Tod is just fantastic and carries himself with such grace and dignity.

Re: OiaHavanah: Yeah, although I have only seen the TAC dvd, it really comes across, just how much his entire world is crumbling around him... hmm.. are we allowed to post links here? Anyone for a link to a Soliloquy/Defying Gravity artwork? Tis' funny:D (done by *Starlene* on deviant art, after we were discussing the 25th anniversary show^^)
Uwe as Frankie? WHERE!?!?!? I love Uwe also- after all, he is the original.
Re: Chocobasse10 mmm, I saw that vid as well, and I do agree, he makes a really good Herbert- kinda cynical, and sarcastic, though still adorable, and... You probably shouldn't get me started on Tanz, or Herbert. I could rant on forever... I love herbert... he's so adorable^.^

I do agree that Uwe's voice has changed although I still like it!

*Grins* That has to be one of my absolute favorite Uwe videos ever. I can't help but notice that we're all listing our favorite male performers. What about the women then? Who are some of your favorite female performers? My top 5 favorite would have to be: Sierra Boggess, Niamh Perry, Jodie Prenger, Ruthie Henshall, and Danielle Hope. Ooh! And Maya Hakvoort, can't forget Maya! Make that top 6 favorite...
