It could also be Maxim. Damn, why can't they just reveal the cast and get it over with? Either way, I will keep my eyes open, that's for sure.

I didn't have much time when I posted the above. So the Tam Matu rumor on Twitter was true! Also true was the rumor on the B'way World board about Karen Mason (and Jame Barbour).
THE CAST WE KNOW SO FAR
Just anounced: Tam Matu -- Maxim de Winter Karen Mason -- Mrs. Danvers John Dossett -- Frank Crawley Donna English -- Beatrice de Winter Nick Wyman -- Giles
Joining already known: Sierra Boggess -- “I” James Barbour -- Jack Favell

Tam Matu - what! He's going to be a rubbish Maxim! Honestly, who cast him Okay, compulsory anti-Maxim-actor-rant out of the way I can certainly see him in the role of Maxim physically which is unusual. Vocally I can't but I think that's more because I'm having real problems with imagining Rebecca in English at all. Karen Mason as Mrs D! Wow, would not have thought of that. Only know her from Wonderland really and that's just so different. Hmm, I figure she'll be able to pull it off!

;D Very cute! And let me just point out that MYYYYYYY post on this came hours before the official social media posted anything! All right, I won't let it go to my head Here's the thread on B'way World's board: broadwayworld.com/board/readmessage.php?thread=1039462&dt=19&boardid=1There's some talk on Stacy's board, LJ and musicals.net. But the largest volume of talk is on the link above. Also search twitter for tweets on "@rebeccamusical."

I don't know about Tam Mutu. I haven't seen him perform in a show, so I don't know what he's like as a actor. He sure looks like he could be a good Maxim, and he's got a lovely voice. I heard him sing Till I Hear You Sing from LND, and I really like his voice. I don't know Karen Mason, so I hope she'll be a pleasant surprise as Mrs. Danvers.

She was a fantastic Queen of Hearts but yeah, that's SUCH a different role! I'm seriously intruiged... I mean you can tell from that that she is a skilled vocalist but this is just so different is her in that. See why it's confusing my small brain?

Oh yeah, that's such a different role! ;D But she's got a great voice, and I can really see her playing Danvers. Her voice is a little deep, which fits the role and her songs in the show, especially Rebecca.

Looks like she's a great character actor. Which in some ways Mrs. Danvers is. You just have to put that human element into the character.

On another note, why do they call Beatrice de Winter? She is married and her last name is Lacey. Silly, silly. Perhaps because people wouldn't otherwise get that she's Maxim's sister.

And we also still need to know who'll play Mrs. Van Hopper, don't we?

Or Ben. And I did think that was odd that the B'way World story called Bee "de Winter."
Also slightly OT: Here's some St. Gallen footage with an interview with FZ -- and YEAH I understood *almost* all the german here! I think I missed maybe three words.
There's another clip which has the same interview but has slightly different footage -- check this poster's YouTube account and you'll find it).

So Lisa Antoni and Maya Hakvoort are also doing the show? Now I am just confused. Is this taken from a different production or something? Wasn't it Lucy Scherer and Pia Douwes who were cast for the show? And Maxim has his own song in the beginning! Nice.

It is confusing, but the show is being done first in St. Gallen with Liza and Maya and then in Stuttgart with Lucy and Pia. Don't ask me how, but Thomas is involved with both productions. Yes, that's the new song I mentioned a few posts back. Patrick Stanke sang it at a concert ages ago. It was also in the Japanese version of the show. Here's the whole song. Rumor is that this song is in the B'way version. ETA: Checkout this YouTube account for more clips from St. Gallen. And there's some reviews of the production on this message board (scroll down).

Ah, of course. That makes sense. I really think Lisa and Pia should do the show together and Lucy and Maya should do it togehter, because I feel Lisa and Pia are miscast. They are great, but I cannot see them in these roles. It would be great if Zauberhaft natürlich is going to be in the Broadway production.
