So, I recorded some Little Mermaid fandubs yesterday and thought I'd share. ;D

Goodness, it shocked me when you spoke on the first one! I expected silence until the singing XD
However, they are really good! You're talented ^^

It was a spur of the moment thing...I was going to stay silent until I had to start singing but then I decided to do the two lines... ;D
Thank you very much! ;D

Oh nice! My only complaint is that you could use a better recording studio. I love your voice!

I was sure I had replied to this! Nevermind, better late than never.
Thank you very much! ;D
I've discovered how to properly edit my voice and backing tracks together and here are the newly fixed up videos, if anyone is interested:
And a new one:
And while it doesn't fit in with the rest of the thread, here's me doing I'm Not That Girl from Wicked:
All of these were done today or yesterday so I've been busy, busy, busy! ;D

How about editing the thread to 'Cherry-pie's fandubs'? I can do it if you don't know how but I'm not going to go all scary admin and edit other people's posts all the time without asking XD
I had a listen to 'not that girl' (while typing this hehe) and it's really good. The only thing I would say is it sometimes sounds like the note is catching in your nose (technical I know) so like you aren't quite confident enough to really sing it out... Be confident my dearie!!!

That's probably a good idea. ;D And thanks for the tip. I did this song about a year ago with my singing teacher and trying to remember everything she said confused my brain I think. You can hear me switch from an English accent to an American one and vise versa. Also because of my singing teacher making me sing in an incredibly posh English accent, which is very unnatural for me. Thanks again! ;D

I've been meaning to reply to this. Now that the recording method is better it's really nice to be able to hear your voice. It's beautiful! You are doing a great job! Keep it up. Doing anything well takes a lot of hard work, and I can hear it in your voice.
I have a nice voice, but I'm not trained at all -- and it's not really my talent anyway. But my point is that the work you have done with your voice shows!

You know, I should really make sure I've replied to things. Thank you so much for the praise! It means a lot. Also, I've done a few more videos. If anyone's interested: Heaven's Light A Cappella: Free Barbie Princess and the Pauper: Partir la-bas (Part of You World in French): Part of Your World: With You from Ghost the Musical: Der Schleier fällt (I think we all know what this is from ;D) Boote in der Nacht (again, I think you know what it's from ;D) Watch Me Soar from What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up:

I've been on a recording frenzy! Here's a few more:
Legally Blonde (ballad) from Legally Blonde:
A Part of Your World Multilanguage in Spanish, German, English and French (And one bit of Spanish accented German!)
Ich Gehör Nur Mir:
Here's a bit of backstory on this recording: My friend and I make duets together. Most of them have been in English (my native language) while only one so far has been in hers (German). So, I proposed we do Ich Gehör Nur Mir and I split it up into two parts. We've found the best way to do these is for me to sing my part and send it to her to record over it. So I had a few attempts doing this and I found I could not do it without doing the whole song. And so we have this recording.

I haven't really had enough time to listen to these properly but I just had a quick listen to Ich Gehor and I thought it was really very good. I'm being serious when I say that at certain times in particular I thought it was as good as some of the actual singers and goodness knows that last note was better than a fair few I've heard. I have to admit I was expecting a screech but you did prove me wrong! And the recording quality was great too.
I'd love to hear the duet version at some point!
I will come back and listen to the others when I have a moment although I may not comment on them all ^^

Wow, I don't know what to say. Thank you so much, Havanah!
I'd have to ask Natalie if she's okay with other people hearing the duets first.
Thanks again!

So...I got a new microphone for Christmas! (Which means I won't have to use my iPod any more, yay!) Here is my first video using it:
It's a compilation video of Part of Your World, Part of Your World - Reprise and when Ariel loses her voice. I'm using it as an audition to be Ariel's singing voice on a Youtube full fandub of The Little Mermaid. ;D
